Small Business BC

IPBC is proud to promote two new bookkeeping seminars at Small Business BC. Small Business BC is British Columbia's key resource centre for business information and services for small business startup and growth; they offer seminars assisting new small business owners in the structure and growth of their small business. The Education Centre at Small Business BC supports over 40 regional BC cities through the use of video conference and presents over 90 different seminars including the newly developed First Year in Business and Managing Your Balance Sheet. These seminars were developed by Dianne Mueller, Certified Professional Bookkeeper.

The First Year in Business series introduces new small business owners to the financial statements that you as a professional bookkeeper provide. Managing Your Balance sheet will teach how to read and understand financial statements, along with emphasis on the importance of maintaining a relationship with a professional bookkeeper. The program extends both the IPBC and Small Business BC services to communities throughout BC; our goal is to increase exposure to IPBC members and increase seminar attendance.

Other courses offered by Small Business cover a wide variety of subjects and, many of them would be excellent for your own continuing education credits.
