With the tremendous shortage of qualified bookkeepers in Canada, employers want to hire foreign trained accountants and bookkeepers. However, they must prove they know the GAAP system and how to use the software that Canadian businesses use to manage their books. IPBC offers the solution to establishing your skills and experience.
Qualify to become a CPB Certified Professional Bookkeeper simply by demonstrating at least two years experience in your home country and by passing a multiple choice on line exam. Study guides are available for purchase once you register for the exam, in case you think you need a refresher. Once certified, you qualify to use the CPB Certified Professional Bookkeeper designation behind your name.
Step 1 - Become a member - Join Now
Step 2 - Register for the certification exam - Register Now (Note: you must be a member before you can register for the exam.)
Step 3 - Purchase the knowledge guide (optional) to assist with preparing for the exam.
Step 4 - Upon receipt of your registration, IPBC will be in touch within 24 hours to arrange a date, time and location for you to write the exam.
Step 5 - Take and pass the exam.
IPBC members qualify for free advertising in our career section and if requested, are included on a list of CPB Certified Professional Bookkeepers who are available for long or short term projects.
